Highly efficient GTES-2.5 gas turbine power plant is designated for heat and electric power generation and supply to industrial, municipal and residential customers. GTES-2.5 is also in-demand at oil and gas fields as a normal or stand-by source of electric power and heat. The gas turbine engine D049R (produced by NPO Saturn) rated at 2.5 MW is used as a drive. The design of the GTES-2.5 outdoor automated gas turbine set was developed jointly with the Power Plant Design Centre ROSEP (Moscow).

It is beneficial to use these gas turbine sets because of their high efficiency. High fuel utilization factor of the set ensures short payback period.

The power generating set is manufactured of transportable modules, fully pre-fabricated. GTES-2.5 scope of supply is subject to changes depending on the configuration and based on the result of the developments made for the technical definition improvement. Besides the standard scope of equipment, different optional equipment is available to meet a customer installation and operation requirements.

In 2011, GTES-2.5 became a winner of the All-Russian competition 100 Best Russian Products.
