UEC-Gas Turbines, Joint-stock company (UEC-GT, JSC, a part of Rostec-incorporated United Engine Corporation) continues supplying locally produced equipment for the Russian gas industry and has commenced shipping GPA-10R/RM gas compressor sets to Gazprom Chayanda oil, gas and condensate field.
Republic (Yakutia) is a basic field for formation of Yakutia gas production center and a resource base for “Power of Siberia” gas pipeline.
Scope of supply includes six GPA-10R/RM gas compressor sets with PS-90GP-3 gas turbine drives based on PS-90A aircraft engine derivatives; various modifications of PS-90A were used to launch such legends as Ilyushin IL-96 and IL-76 aircrafts. PS-90GP gas turbines are used as mechanical drives in gas compressor sets and generator drives in gas turbine gensets. Featuring high reliability and fail-safety, these engines are fully functional at numerous sites.
UEC-GT, JSC equipment will operate as a part of the interstage compressor station for membrane extraction of helium from natural gas taken from the Chayanda field. This project implementation is based on the process engineering solutions that will allow reducing helium losses with commercial gas being sold both to import and export and provide for its storage.
GPA-10R/RM gas compressor set is designed and produced in series by UEC-GT, the United Engines Corporation leading company for manufacturing of power generating and gas compressor sets. PS-90GP engine family was designed by UEC-Aviadvigatel and produced by UEC-Perm Engines.
The Chayanda oil, gas and condensate field is situated in the south-west of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) and is one of the major fields in Eastern Russia. Gas extracted from the field has a complex composition and includes significant helium amount.
