United Engine Corporation (a part of Rostec State Corporation) is participating in the 24th Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum in Minsk and demonstrating gas turbine equipment for gas transportation and power generation which has the greatest prospects in the international market.
The delegation headed by Viktor Karankevich, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, and Dmitry Mezentsev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus, paid an official visit to the UEC exhibition stand. A number of negotiations were held with potential partners from the Republic of Belarus.
The UEC stand displays a model of PGU-120 combined-cycle power plant based on GTA-25 automated gas turbine generator sets each rated at 22.5 MW. GTA-25 is driven by an advanced highly-reliable PS-90GP-25 gas turbine engine. GTA-25 sets can be operated as stand-alone units or as a part of power generating plant providing grid-parallel operation.
PGU-120 benefits:
- possibility to tie into existing heat network;
- short construction and commissioning terms - 15-18 months for the simple cycle, up to 32 months for the combined cycle;
- high extraction factor during heating season.
PGU-120 is the only one of its kind in Russia. Efficiency in the combined cycle reaches 50% which is the undeniable advantage of the power plant of this type.
Gas turbine generator sets incorporated into the CCPP allow for the significant increase of fuel utilization efficiency with rated power increase.
Rybinsk-based UEC-Gas Turbines (UEC-incorporated), a designer and complex supplier of gas turbine generator sets and compressor sets as well as combined-cycle and gas reciprocating sets, is participating in a number of projects in Belarus. UEC-GT, JSC is participating in the bidding of Slavkali within a project “CHP. Construction of mining and processing complex with output between 1.1 and 2.0 mln. tons of potassium chloride per annum in Nezhin district of Starobin potassium salt deposit” in Belarus. The company also participates in the bidding procedure of Belaruskali expecting supply of a number of gas turbine gensets complete with waste heat recovery units. Agreement has been concluded with QuadroEnergo for servicing UEC-GT gas turbine gensets in the territory of Belarus by QuadroEnergo specialists with a view to establish fully-featured service center.
Engineering solutions offered by UEC gain advantage of gas turbine engines rated 2.5 to 25 MW. UEC keeps on developing new promising equipment, improving the reliability and quality of products, finding new up-to-date ways of working with customers. The UEC-manufactured industrial gas turbines are in line with world-class equipment (output, efficiency, fuel consumption and service life) but more attractive in terms of the price.
Key customers of UEC power generating and gas compressor sets are Russian fuel and energy companies including Gazprom. Nowadays Gazprom is operating about 1500 industrial gas turbines produced by the corporation.
In October 2018, UEC and Gazprom signed a Cooperation Program aimed to satisfy Gazprom needs in domestic gas turbine equipment for the period up to 2030.
