UEC-Gas Turbines, Joint-stock Company (UEC-GT, JSC – a subsidiary of United Engine Corporation, a part of Rostec State Corporation) was awarded a contract with as Gapzrom Transgaz Tomsk for supply of two indoor GTN-16R gas compressor sets for Sakhakin main compressor station running on a Sakhalin portion of Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas trunk line. As per contract terms and conditions, the compressor sets should be delivered on site during the compressor station construction phase II in 2020 and three in 2021 correspondingly.
The 16 MW gas compressor sets by UEC-GT, JSC are one of the most marketable Russian pieces of equipment for gas transportation. So far, the company has produced about 50 gas compressor sets (including those yet in installation and commissioning). The GTN-16R gas compressor sets are driven by PS-90GP2 high-efficiency industrial gas turbines (produced by UEC-Perm Engines). These gas compressor sets have an excellent track record in reliable operation at Bovanenkovo oil and gas condensate field operated by Gazprom which is feeding several trunk lines including Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2.
Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas trunk line is built within the Program for an integrated gas production, transportation and supply system in Eastern Siberia and the Far East, taking into account potential gas exports to China and other Asia-Pacific countries adopted by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Energy.
Total length of the trunk line is 1830 km. The Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok gas trunk line allows for meeting the demands of Khabarovsk and Primosky Krai as well as Sakhalin Region. Complete development of the trunk line will allow for transporting up to 35—37 bln m³ of gas per year. Sakhalin offshore deposits are the main resource base for the trunk line.
