International Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan” (OGU-2018) is held in Tashkent on May, 16-19. At the United Engine Corporation booth UEC - Gas Turbines, JSC presented its proposals concerning the supplies of power generating and gas compressor equipment for oil and gas industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On the first day of the exhibition the UEC booth was visited by Nodir Otazhonov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The honorary guest was acquainted with the presentation of the Corporation new developments, versatile approaches for projects implementation, prospects for further development and advancement of the Russian gas turbine equipment. Late in the afternoon there began negotiations between UEC delegation and Uzbekneftegaz, the biggest Uzbek user of the industrial gas turbine equipment as well as the affiliated companies: Uztransgaz, Neftegazinvest, Uzneftegazdobycha. The parties discussed UEC participation in the large-scale project of reconstruction and modernization of Uzbekistan gaz transmission networks, complete overhauls and spare parts delivery for maintenance in working order of the previously supplied equipment of Russian origin. They also discussed the possibility of performing some routine repair of gas turbine engines on site. Uzbekneftegaz top management highly appreciated investment opportunities of the Corporation converted from close cooperation with Russian Export Center, Vneshekonombank and VEB-Leasing using high-end equipment export promotion tools. As a result of the meeting the parties agreed upon exploring the possiibilities of signing Memorandum of Understanding that will specify the procedure arranging the cooperation intended to provide for uninterrupted operation of oil and gas industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the period of the exhibition there will be negotiations with Uzbekenergo, the biggest integrated generating company of Uzbekistan – on the implementation of Memorandum of Understanding signed a year ago and UEC participation in projects of complex construction in the Republic of Uzbekistan of the power plants based on gas turbine engines and using Russian export financing.
